New Isabela police station breaks ground

BACOLOD City – The municipality of Isabela in Negros Occidental recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of its new police station.

The three-story P9.5 million building will be built at the existing police station in Barangay IV Poblacion, funded under the General Appropriations Act for fiscal year 2024.

Mayor Irene Montilla, Colonel Rainerio de Chavez of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, and Isabela police chief Captain Ar-jay Dangarang led the event on March 14.

In his address, Dangarang expressed optimism that the new police station will uplift the morale of the local police force.

Montilla, on his part, welcomed the project and expressed her excitement, emphasizing her full support for the town’s police personnel.

Meanwhile, de Chavez advised the Isabela police to dedicate their efforts to serving the community.

Isabela Fire Station personnel, headed by acting municipal fire marshal Senior Fire Officer 3 Annie Rose Limsiaco, and other town officials also graced the event.

The new police station will be a PNP Standard Type B/C building, symbolizing a significant upgrade for the local law enforcement facilities./PN
