ILOILO City – A man stabbed the alleged lover of his wife in Barangay Bololacao, New Lucena, Iloilo.
The 40-year-old Joel Lorca of Barangay Puyas, Cabatuan, Iloilo sustained a stab wound on the stomach, a police report showed.
He was brought to Western Visayas Medical Center in Mandurriao district for treatment.
Police identified the suspect as 41-year-old Marcelo Quilarto.
According to authorities, Quilarto got mad after seeing his wife Ellen with Lorca around 7 p.m. on Tuesday. This prompted him to attack the victim.
Quilarto and Ellen have been separated since April 2019.
The police arrested Quilarto, who was detained in the lockup cell of the New Lucena police station./PN
