ILOILO City – The opening of malls contributes to the development of the business sector in the city.
In an interview with Panay News, Iloilo Business Club (IBC) president Lea Lara said the city and province have been enjoying the advantages brought about by new malls. One of which is the establishments’ contribution to the booming investment industry in this part of the country.
“There are a lot of malls and stores that opened this year. The openings were really well-attended … The malls are proof that the business sector here is growing, developing,” Lara said.
She likewise mentioned the visibility of more food franchise names in the city, saying these food establishments have seen the promising consumer market here.
The IBC chief also added that despite the presence of big names in the country’s food industry, more local restaurants are opening all over the city.
“We see a lot of small and local restaurants that opened despite the big branches establishing their shops in Iloilo … That’s good that more Ilonggos are venturing into business and offering their ideas,” she said./PN
