LONG-TIME onscreen partners John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo have given their fans a reason to rejoice even during these difficult and trying times due to the coronavirus pandemic.
On Instagram, Cruz and Alonzo teased a project, which appears to be in collaboration with directors Antoinette Jadaone and Dan Villegas.
Making a similar update, Cruz and Alonzo wrote on Instagram: “Over the next week, we will be performing a work of fiction on Instagram. It is a love story and it is about these times. Any resemblance to persons, living or dead, is intentional.”
Both stars also used the hashtag #unconfinedcinema in the caption before tagging Jadaone and Villegas, who also shared the same post in their respective pages.
No other details about the project were revealed.
Fans of Cruz and Alonzo last saw them together on February 14 when they brought to life the indie blockbuster “That Thing Called Tadhana” through a live script reading at an outdoor venue.
The live script reading marked Cruz’s first major public appearance in a showbiz setting since his return from his two-year hiatus.
The last time Cruz and Alonzo starred in a project was in 2015 for the Cathy Garcia-Molina-directed film “A Second Chance.”
More recently, however, they appeared together for a common endorsement of a shawarma brand.
Following their recent public sightings, a lot of their fans have been wishing for the two to reunite in another big screen project.(ABS-CBN)
