SAN JOSE, Antique – The newly-installed Officer-in-Charge Chief of Police of this capital town has expressed his optimism towards making this place a better community.
Major Benjo Clarite assumed the role and responsibilities of his predecessor Lieutenant Colonel Marc Anthony Darroca during a turn-over of command ceremony in the San Jose municipal police station’s conference room on March 4.
“We must diligently exert effort to contribute to attain our one goal that is to make San Jose a safer place to live, work and do business,” Clarite said.
With the policies set, Clarite appealed to the personnel to deliver excellent police service while upholding the rights of the constituents.
Prior to his appointment here, Clarite beloned to the Philippine National Police Academy Class 2010 and was assigned to the Provincial Regional Office 6 as Assistant Chief of the Regional Intelligence Division.
For his part, Darroca believed that he has done his best to assure this capital town’s peace and order in his almost two years of stay. He also requested his successor to continue and improve the best practices of the police personnel here.
Meanwhile, Mayor Elmer Untaran lauded the San Jose municipal police station for its exemplary performance, citing that it formed part of the accolades the town has garnered.
“We have to sustain all the programs and projects that have been initiated by PLt. Col. Darroca and I know Benjo can make it with the help of our personnel in San Jose Municipal Police Station,” the mayor said.
