ROXAS City – Just a week after the People’s Park in this city officially opened, the public space has been marred by vandals causing damage and attempted theft.

These incidents have caused concern and disappointment to the local government unit (LGU) of Roxas City, particularly Mayor Ronnie Dadivas.

Dadivas emphasized that such acts are intolerable and go against the very purpose for which the park was established—to provide a safe and pleasant environment for the community.

To address these issues, the LGU announced the implementation of stricter policies and a curfew at the park, which will be enforced in the coming days.

Residents were urged to cooperate and adhere to these measures to maintain the park’s integrity and ensure the comfort and security of all visitors. Dadivas also called on the community to actively assist the LGU in monitoring and protecting People’s Park.

He also warned that those found engaged in disruptive or unlawful behavior at People’s Park would face appropriate penalties and legal consequences./PN
