SAN JOSE, Antique – The National Food Authority (NFA) in Antique recently reported that the agency has accredited 79 rice retailers.
However, NFA-Antique said they are still open for more rice retailers, noting their ongoing mobile licensing for people who want to engage in rice business.
NFA-Antique information officer Lorgie Mae B. Inocencio said the mobile licensing will increase the number of retailers in the province, thus, making the cheaper NFA rice more accessible to the public.
Inocencio added that businessmen engaged in rice retailing, wholesaling, milling, and warehousing, among others, are required to secure a permit from the NFA.
Last year, the NFA has intensified its rice procurement all over the country. (With a report from PNA/PN)
