ROXAS City – More than 1,000 grains businessmen in Capiz are targeted for the renewal of grains business license.
Information officer Mary Christie Harion of National Food Authority (NFA)-Capiz said they aim to renew the licenses of about 1,047 grains businessmen in Capiz this year.
She said they have started already the processing of renewal of licenses particularly for grains businessmen from Dao, Cuartero, and Dumarao.
“We are scheduling the renewal of grains licenses by municipality every month,” Harion said.
For grains businessmen in Cuartero, an NFA team will be joining the town’s One Stop Shop through its Mobile Licensing Team on January 16 at its municipal hall.
“We will also have our Mobile Licensing Team at Magbanua’s Function Hall in Balucuan, Dao town to cater our clients,” she said.
Harion, however, said that new applicants can transact licensing business anytime with their office and an inspection by NFA enforcement and investigation personnel will be conducted on the subject’s establishment and facilities within 20 days after the filing of the application.
“Upon renewal of license, grains businessman may submit a photocopy of his previous year’s income tax return as an additional requirement,” she said, adding that those who will discontinue his business may surrender his license or registration certificate to NFA office that issued said license together with a letter of discontinuance.
In 2018, NFA Capiz was able to issue grains licenses to 1,280 businessmen here which is higher than the 1,122 target grains entrepreneurs. (PIA/PN)
