BACOLOD City – A Nigerian national was arrested for allegedly mauling two residents of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.
Jhon Akin Wealth, 33, currently staying in Barangay Daro, Dumaguete City, was accused of hitting Jayson Ajero, 20, of Barangay Bajumpandan and Jherlyn Silot, 21, of Barangay Motong on Sunday.
The victims told the police they were travelling on board a motorcycle when Wealth, who was driving another motorcycle, followed them and then blocked their way.
Wealth disembarked from his motorcycle, approached and repeatedly punched Ajero on the face and head. The Nigerian also punched Silot, who tried to stop him, on the face, police said.
Wealth went to the police station to report the incident but was arrested when the victims told the police he attacked them. He was detained in the Dumaguete City police station lockup cell./PN
