BACOLOD City – Nine persons were arrested for illegal gambling in Barangay Patic, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.
June Magallanes; Mylene Macariola; Ann Riza Mati-ong; Alien Gono; Junalyn Venancio; Helen Mecero; Weliston Gono; Bernadeth Venancio; and Dominador Bendita were caught playing illegal cards game and mahjong at around 5 p.m. on Oct. 22, a police report showed.
Recovered from their possession were three decks of playing cards, table, mahjong tiles and P509 bet money.
The suspects were taken to the Pulupandan police station, facing charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling./PN
