No active case of COVID-19 in Capiz

CAPIZ – The entire province of Capiz has no more active cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), as of April 27.

Provincial Health Office chief Dr. Ramon Nolasco said the Capiz Provincial Government welcome this development.

“This developmental milestone is the first in the history of our province, since we recorded our first COVID-19 Confirmed Case, more than two years ago or exactly 765 days, way back on 24 March 2020,” Nolasco said.

The PHO chief attributed this to the collective efforts of National Government Agencies, Local Government Units, frontliners, partners, stakeholders, and the general public.

“Because of cooperation, we can achieve and materialize this momentous event, which further geared towards winning our battle against the ongoing pandemic,” he added.

However, he emphasized that to sustain the province’s winning momentum against the dreaded disease, the citizenry must be continuously reminded of the utmost importance and indispensable benefits of immunization together with the strict adherence to Minimum Public Health Standards in their respective localities./PN
