BACOLOD City – No bail bond was recommended for the temporary liberty of a rape suspect in Barangay Dos Hermanas, Talisay City, Negros Occidental.
Gilbert Begueras had been hiding from the police for about 25 years.
His apprehension was staged on the strength of an arrest warrant around 7 a.m. on Jan.18, police said.
Officers of the Talisay City police station served the warrant issued by Judge Eduardo De Los Santos of the Regional Trial Court Branch 46 in Bacolod City dated April. 17, 1995.
Begueras was detained in the custodial facilty of the Talisay City police station./PN
