BACOLOD City – There was no stoppage of bus trips or cancellation of its operations in any part of Northern Negros on Friday, March 11, the Vallacar Transit, Inc. clarified to the riding public in Negros Occidental.
The operator of Ceres buses belied allegations of a so-called stoppage being circulated on social media.
“We are here to serve the riding public with utmost safety and comfort even during the coronavirus disease 19 pandemic. There is no reason for us to cancel our trips now that travel restrictions have been lowered,” Vallar stressed in a statement.
It, however, explained that it is “operating with a limited number of units due to the health restrictions.”
Still, Vallacar stressed, in spite of this “we are trying our best that no passenger gets left behind.”
“We cannot cater to the whims of groups that would leave our routes in a vacuum. This is against the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board’s policy,” it added.
Vallacar appealed to the riding public “to be wary and not believe everything they read on social media.”/PN
