BACOLOD City – The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) confirmed on Thursday evening, September 26, that there was no reported emergency or crash landing by an aircraft in Bago City, Negros Occidental.

This comes after a social media post regarding an airplane making an emergency or crash landing in the area of Bago City circulated on Thursday night.

Several netizens even reported hearing an aircraft flying on a “very low” altitude in portions of the city’s barangays Abuanan, Atipuluan, Malingin, and Napoles past 7 p.m.

Local DRRM officer Ryan Valero said they immediately coordinated with proper agencies like the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP) and Philippine Air Force following the aforementioned allegations making rounds on social media.

“These information and claims are yet to be confirmed. There’s no proof or evidence yet,” Valero said./PN
