The Iloilo City COVID-19 team said there are no confirmed cases of the new variant COVID-19 at the moment.
COVID-19 team leader Jeck Conlu noted however that there was an Ilonggo Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Italy who arrived in Manila on March 13 who tested positive for the UK variant of the virus.
Conlu said the OFW was quarantined in Manila.
She was allowed to return to Iloilo on March 31 after she tested negative for her second testing.
Upon arrival, she was further quarantined in a hotel facility for another three days and reswabbed after.
Results showed she was still negative for COVID-19 and any of the new variants./PN
