No official federalism campaign material yet, clarifies Con-com

Ding Generoso

MANILA – The body that President Rodrigo Duterte formed to review the 1987 Constitution denied that the controversial video Margaux “Mocha” Uson uploaded on Facebook was not part of its federalism information campaign.

Spokesman Ding Generoso clarified that the Consultative Committee (Con-com) has not yet come up with an official information campaign material on federalism.

Con-com did not have a hand in the video that showed Uson egging on a pro-Duterte blogger as the latter salaciously danced and sang a jingle that had “ipepe-dede-ralismo” in the lyrics, he said.

Mahaba yata iyan,” Generoso said of the video the Presidential Communications aide uploaded on the social networking site.

The Con-com spokesman said he was shocked to see the video on Uson’s Facebook page.

Wala pa tayong nagagawa na materyales,” said Generoso.

With the controversy brought about by Uson’s video, Generoso said they will assess the situation and whether or not to still include the Presidential Communications aide in the federalism information campaign./PN
