ILOILO City – No organized criminal syndicates were monitored to be operating in Western Visayas, according to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group 6 (CIDG-6).
CIDG-6 chief, Police Colonel Joseph Ian Lofranco, said Region 6 remains peaceful and safe.
“However, we will not be complacent kasi hindi malayo na may mag-form ng grupo-grupo. So we have to be aware and continue to coordinate with the community to help and police,” Lofranco stressed.
CIDG-6 is also intensifying its campaign against loose firearms and high-profile wanted persons.
“We have deployed our available personnel to monitor the whereabouts of high-profile personalities with pending criminal cases,” said Lofranco.
The CIDG is calling the community to help by giving information to the police./PN
