BACOLOD City — Taking of photos and videos of murder suspect Noel Ayalin will be prohibited once he enters the court room for a hearing on Monday.
Ayalin, former barangay captain of Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, will undergo hearing for his cases at 8:30 a.m. at the Regional Trial Court Branch 69 in Silay.
Taking images of the captured fugitive will be disallowed, revealed the clerk of court, Atty. Ma. Jezzel Racimo, quoting a Supreme Court memorandum.
The court will discourage any distraction during the proceeding, she stressed.
Judge Felipe Banzon will preside. It will be at his discretion whether or not to allow interviews after the hearing, Racimo said.
Ayalin was accused of staging a shooting rampage that killed four barangay officials and several others in Brgy. Kapitan Ramon, Silay City, in March 2011.
Among the casualties were barangay kagawads Luzviminda Cotamen, Pedrito Orocio, Freddie Juño and Sangguniang Kabataan president Aimee Occeña.
After hiding for three years, Ayalin was arrested in Iba, Zambales, on May 15. He is facing nine charges: four for direct assault with murder, three for frustrated murder and two for attempted murder.
He is currently detained in the Metro Bacolod District Jail–Special Intensive Care Area at the Bacolod City Police Office compound in Brgy. Taculing here.
Chief Insp. Larry Fuentes, the jail warden, said Ayalin is a “high-risk” suspect and their facility is most suited for him.
Ayalin will be under maximum security, escorted by jail guards and policemen, when he is taken to and from the court on Monday, Fuentes said./PN
