“No vaxx, no entry” rule in Akelco, Altavas market

KALIBO, Aklan – Some establishments and government offices are enforcing the “no vaccination card, no entry” rule to restrict the movement of people who are unvaccinated against Covid-19 in Aklan.

The Aklan Electric Cooperative, Inc. (Akelco) will allow only vaccinated individuals inside their offices amid the alarming surge of Covid-19 cases.

The “no vaccination card, no entry” policy takes effect on January 17, 2022, at Akelco’s main office in Lezo and offices in Boracay Island, Altavas, Andagao (Kalibo), Pandan (Antique), Banga, Nabas, Ibajay, and Caticlan (Malay).

Akelco is the sole power distributor in the province of Aklan and the northern towns of Antique.

The provincial government of Aklan also announced a “no vaccine, no entry” policy in all provincial government offices. The policy covers all employees and clients who will enter the provincial government offices.

Altavas public market in Altavas, Aklan also required vaccination cards as part of the efforts to curb the coronavirus.   

In addition, a Kalibo supermarket has advised its customers to bring their vaccination cards before entry to the establishment.

Aklan Florencio Miraflores is highly encouraging the public to take the vaccine shot against the virus in light of the increasing number of cases.

Meanwhile, regional courts and municipal circuit trial courts in Kalibo, Banga, Makato, New Washington, Ibajay, Altavas, Makato, Buruanga, and Malinao are physically closed from January 13 until January 31, 2022, after the province of Aklan was placed under Alert Level 3./PN
