BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) director Colonel Romeo Baleros encourages all policemen under his command to voluntarily submit themselves to reassignment.
“I am telling officers who are presently assigned in police stations where they reside to voluntary seek reassignment for better performance in service,” said Baleros.
The NOCPPO chief stressed police officers assigned in their hometown tend to go home early, failing to return to their work.
“Ang sinasabi ko pag ang pulis matagal na sa sariling lugar, ikaw na ang magkusang huwag magpa-assign diyan,” he said.
Baleros reiterated he is giving policemen an option to voluntarily transfer in a police station nearest their hometown, but not in the police stations of the area where they live.
“Minsan uuwi sa bahay magpapalit na ng civilian clothes, babalik ng istasyon nakatsinelas na, so na-sacrifice iyong aming serbisyo para sa tao,” he said./PN
