NOCPPO begins inspecting firecracker stalls

BY DOMINIQUE GABRIEL G. BAÑAGA

BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) has begun inspecting firecracker stalls in the province as part of “Oplan: Ligtas Kapaskuhan 2022”.

Firecracker sellers must adhere to safety regulations, said Police Lieutenant Judesses Catalogo, NOCPPO spokesperson.

The inspection also aims to prevent the sale of illegal firecrackers.

The NOCPPO is hopeful of minimizing or even preventing firecracker-related injuries during the celebration of Christmas and New Year.

Catalogo also appealed to parents to disallow their children from playing with firecrackers.

This is the most effective way to prevent firecracker-related injuries in minors, he stressed./PN
