BACOLOD City – A 53-year-old Norwegian national was stabbed by a jeepney barker in Helvitia Heigths, Barangay Villamonte.
Tuesday’s stabbing landed Harald Helsengreen at the Doctor’s Hospital in this city. He sustained stab wounds on the body, police said.
The 41-year-old Joemar Garcia of Barangay 41 was tagged suspect.
According to police investigation, the victim – who was reportedly drunk – confronted and kicked Garcia outside a convenient store. This prompted the suspect to stab Helsengreen using a balisong.
Police have yet to arrest Garcia, who fled after the incident./PN
