ILOILO – A man, who was later identified as a notorious akyat-bahay, was found lying with a gunshot wound on his head in Circumferential Road, Barangay Pulo Maestravita, Oton, Iloilo, around 12:30 a.m. yesterday.
Reymart Cinco, alias “Lupin”, was a resident of Barangay Talongadian, Santa Barbara, Iloilo.
“Ang gwardya ni sang isa ka mall malapit sa area ang nag-inform diri nga may nabatian siya nga tatlo lupok kag may nakita na siya tao nga natumba together sa iya motorsiklo kag pag abot didto nakita na nga naka-kaya ini ang biktima may igo sa ulo,” said Police Major Fernand Limbungan, chief of the Oton Municipal Police Station (MPS).
Cinco was immediately rushed to the Western Visayas Medical Center but was later declared dead.
“Makabig gid ini siya nga notorious nga akyat-bahay kay tungod sa mga agi niya. Damo ni siya charges for the case of robbery and theft, may ara sa banwa sang Pavia, sa Santa Barbara, San Miguel, Mina kag daw damo pa,” Limbungan added.
Authorities recovered three empty shells of .45-caliber pistol at the scene.
The Oton MPS has launched an investigation. No suspects have so far been identified./PN
