Nov. 1 drug sting nets P3.4-M ‘shabu’, 2 suspects in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – Two drug suspects were apprehended for possessing around P3.4 million worth of suspected shabu on Friday morning, November 1, in Purok Kabuhi, Barangay 10 here.

According to the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), the suspects identified as aliases “John,” 29, an electric tricycle driver, and “Ellan,” 36, a construction worker, were collared by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) operatives after John handed a plastic sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur buyer for P1,000.

Aside from the said buy-bust item and money, police seized 16 more plastic sachets and five knot-tied plastic bags of suspected shabu weighing approximately 500 grams priced at P6,800 per gram.

Both suspects are now under police custody, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
