NUEVA VALENCIA, Guimaras – This municipality has a new police station.
Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) director Brigadier General Rene Pamuspusan led the inauguration of the P5-million edifice on Nov. 4.
The police station is a Type “B/C” Class Standard PNP Building, according to Police Colonel Pablito Asmod Jr., director of the Guimaras Police Provincial Office.
Construction started on June 24, 2019 on a 400-square meter lot donated to the Philippine National Police by the local government unit (LGU) of Nueva Valencia under Mayor Emmanuel Galila.
Pamuspusan thanked the LGU of Nueva Valencia for supporting the municipal police force led by Police Lieutenant Gary Diaz.
“I expect the Nueva Valencia police to be more productive now that it has a suitable and conducive workplace,” he said.
Pamuspusan also praised the new police station as a testament to the strong partnership between the Nueva Valencia LGU and the police.
He assured the people of Nueva Valencia that their police station is “citizen-friendly” and manned by “professional, disciplined, honest, and responsible police officers.”
Also present during the police station’s inauguration were Vice Mayor Vincent Paul Dela Cruz, Sangguniang Bayan members of Nueva Valencia and other local officials.
Reverend Father Police Colonel Noel Ponsaran, chaplain of PRO-6, led the blessing./PN
