AKLAN – A massive fire broke out at a multi-business center in Barangay Bulwang, Numancia town around 9 a.m. yesterday and left an estimated damage of P80 million.
The 8,000-square meter business center, owned by Engr. Sutico Beltran, housed a variety of shops selling goods, furniture, and groceries.
According to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) – Numancia, the fire reached a “fourth alarm” status and a “fire out” was declared past 11 a.m.
It destroyed the So-Pure Multi-purpose Center and Dela Vega Japan Surplus Center while the Barbaza Multi-purpose Cooperative, motorcycle dealer and repair shop, and glass and aluminum shop were partially damaged.
The BFP-Numancia reported no casualties and injured persons.
As of this writing, arson investigators were still investigating the cause of the blaze./PN
