Observe Holy Week at home, NOCPPO tells Negrenses

BY DOMINIQUE GABRIEL BAÑAGA

BACOLOD City – Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (NOCPPO) director Police Colonel Romy Palgue urged residents of the province to observe Holy Week at home to further stem the spread of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to Palgue, Negrenses should opt to observe and make their worship services at home instead of going around, especially since churches in the province are still limiting the number of individuals that could attend Masses or worship services.

Although travel is no longer restricted within the province, Palgue reminded those who will be travelling for leisure to still observe proper health protocols such as wearing of facemasks and face shields and physical distancing.

Palgue added that they will still do their usual tasks during the Holy Week such as deploying help desks in terminals, churches and on the main highways.

However, due to the ongoing pandemic, Palgue said the help desks may be limited compared to the previous years.
For his Holy Week message, Palgue told Negrenses to “make every home a church and pray for peace.”/PN
