NUEVA VALENCIA, Guimaras – The typhoon ‘Odette’ hit the island barangay of Guiwanon, Nueva Valencia, Guimaras received 100 food packs and 200 hygiene kits from the Office of the Civil Defense Region 6 (OCD-6), last Friday, February 4, 2022.
OCD-6 Regional Director Jose Roberto R. Nuñez led the distribution of 100 food packs and 200 hygiene kits, together with Guimaras Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, OCD6 personnel, representatives from Police Regional Office 6, Maritime Police in Region 6, Philippine Navy, Coast Guard District Western Visayas, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Army, and Nueva Valencia Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.
In his message, Dir. Nuñez emphasized that the National Government is always ready to augment and assist the public especially during crises and calamities.
