ILOILO City – On D’ Move Sportswear clinched the championship of the Elite 2 division of the JB Amateur Basketball League on Monday evening at the Powerhouse Gymnasium here.
It defeated the OJNA/IYB Mobile Bar Crocodiles in the finals, 89-77.
Paul Poral was hailed as “player of the match” after submitting 19 points and eight rebounds for the ODM Sportswear.
Jayjay Guanzon carried the fight for the runner up OJNA/IYB Mobile Bar Crocodiles. He tallied 21 points, seven assists and three steals.
ODM Sportswear reached the finals after defeating JKG/CTG Commercial, 82-79, while OJNA/IYB Mobile Bar Crocodiles ousted Beachwalk Jollyfeet Malditos in the other semis game, 72-59.
ODM Sportswear will now face Elite 1 champions Uniwheels to determine the JB Amateur Basketball League Elite champion tonight at the same venue./PN
