ILOILO City – On D’ Move Sportswear maintained its unblemished record in the Mayor Jerry P. Treñas Basketball Tournament on Saturday evening at the Jaro Gymnasium.
The ODM Sportswear cruised to its fifth straight victory in as many games by toppling the Guimaras Leopards, 91-82, behind the steady plays of Maymay Parohinog, Miguel Sasuman, Jesse Sullano, and Estoy Lencioco.
On the part of the Leopards, this was their third consecutive defeat. They remained on the fourth spot in the standings with 3-3 win-loss record.
J. Cordon Construction-DPWH 2nd District, meanwhile, registered its second straight victory by toppling the Asialink-E and C Trucking in overtime.
The victory allowed the J. Cordon Construction-DPWH 2nd District to move up to solo second place with 5-1 record, while Asialink-E and C Trucking dropped to 1-3 record.
Uniwheels, on the other hand, remained at third spot in the standings following their victory over the slumping TEJ Builders. Uniwheels improves to 4-1, while TEJ skidded to 1-4.
The top four teams after the eliminations will advance to the semifinals round but in the event that ODM Sportswear finishes the eliminations undefeated, the semifinals will be a step-ladder format./PN
