OGUGUA “OG” Anunoby drained a game-winning triple at the buzzer as Toronto Raptors pulled off a 104-103 win over Boston Celtics in Game 3 of the 2019-2020 NBA Eastern Conference playoffs on Thursday in Orlando, Florida.
Anunoby drained the improbable shot in under 0.5 seconds after receiving the ball from Kyle Lowry’s inbound pass over the arms of Celtics’ 7-foot-5 center Tacko Fall as the Raptors avoided falling to 0-3 deficit in the series.
Anunoby finished the match with double-double 12 points and 10 rebounds to go along with three steals and two blocks as the defending champions Raptors trimmed the series deficit to 1-2.
Lowry led the way with 31 points, eight assists and six rebounds, Fred VanVleet added 25 markers, while Pascal Siakam contributed 16 points and seven rebounds for the Raptors.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles Clippers kicked off its Western Conference semifinals series with a resounding 120-97 Game 1 victory over the Denver Nuggets.
The Clippers set the tone early behind Kawhi Leonard, Paul George and Marcus Morris Sr. to surge to a double-digit edge. The lead grew further in the second half as it reached its largest at 23 points.
Leonard finished the match with 29 points, while George and Morris chipped in 19 and 18 markers, respectively, for the Clippers.
Nikola Jokić tallied 15 markers for the Nuggets./PN
