ILOILO – Two individuals were shot in Sito Mumwick, Barangay Dangula-an, Anilao.
Jerry “Sonny” Maravilla of Barangay Paloc Sa-ol, Dumangas, Iloilo was declared dead upon arrival at the Gov. Niel D. Tupas Sr. District Hospital in Barotac Viejo.
On the other hand, Rafael Salas Jr., 44, of Barangay Talongonan, Passi City, was treated at the Western Visayas Medical Center.
The two were on a motorcycle around 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26. They stopped and asked three men for directions going to Barangay De La Paz, Banate, Iloilo.
“Without apparent reason, gin lagas ni sila sang mga suspetsado kag pag abot nila didto sa crossing, which is sunod ini nga barangay, gin-blocking-an sila,” said Police Captain Ma. Fe Umiten, Anilao MPS chief, in an interview with Radyo Bandera Iloilo.
The suspects were identified as alias “Estong” and his two sons, “Lar” and “Jojo”. They are now in the custody of the Anilao Municipal Police Station (MPS).
“Ang suspect nga ni nga si alyas Estong gintiro niya ang duha ka biktima,” said Umiten./PN
