GUIMARAS – A 42-year-old truck driver died after he figured in an accident in Sitio Igcabano, Barangay Cabano, San Lorenzo town in this province.
Jonel Guinsatao, a resident of the said village’s Sitio San Isidro, died while receiving treatment at Dr. Catalino Gallego Nava Provincial Hospital in Jordan town.
His companion, Alex Rosales, was injured and also brought to the same hospital.
According to the San Lorenzo Municipal Police Station, Guinsatao lost control of the steering wheel after the brakes of the six-wheeler truck carrying construction materials malfunctioned.
Police added that the truck turned turtle after it overshot the road curve around 3:55 p.m. on Friday, August 23./PN
