BACOLOD City – A 26-year-old motorcycle driver died while three others onboard a tricycle were injured after they figured in a road accident around 10:41 p.m. on Sunday, July 21, along the national highway in Sitio Asinan, Barangay Poblacion, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.
San Enrique police said Clent Justine Gaylo, a resident of the town’s Sitio Pinalsalan, Barangay Poblacion, sustained fatal injuries on his body. He was declared dead on arrival at a hospital.
Tricycle driver Lindo Nargado, 31, and his passengers Jorda Chavez, 26 years, and an unnamed minor were brought to Valladolid District Hospital. All three were residents of Barangay 2, La Carlota City.
According to Police Major Leo Estopa, chief of the San Enrique Municipal Police Station (MPS), Gaylo was driving a motorcycle at a high speed heading to La Carlota City when it accidentally collided with Nargado’s tricycle.
Estopa said that Nargado and Chavez were thrown off while the minor was stuck inside the tricycle./PN
