BACOLOD City – A woman died while two others were wounded after they were hit by a pickup truck in Manville Royale, Barangay Pahanocoy in this city.
Police said the 53-year-old fatality identified as alias “Mina”, a resident of Barangay Sum-ag, and her companions, aliases “Elle” and “Grace”, stopped jogging for a while to take a groufie when they were hit by the vehicle driven by alias “Kaloy” at around 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 1.
The driver was maneuvering a left turn and he failed to see the three women joggers, police added.
According to the Traffic Management Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO), Mina succumbed to severe body injuries. The two other victims sustained injuries in the different parts of their bodies and were recuperating at a hospital in the city.
The driver was detained at the Police Station 8 for proper disposition./PN
