ANTIQUE – Only 10 towns in the province of Antique have recorded active cases of coronavirus disease in 2019 (COVID -19).
Based on data from the Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO) as of March 30, only 14 active cases have been listed in the province and these are from the following towns: Anini-y (two), Bugasong (two), Caluya (two). ), Hamtic (two), Laua-an (one), San Jose (one), San Remigio (one), Sibalom (one), Tobias Fornier (one), and Valderrama (one).
The towns of Barbaza, Belison, Culasi, Libertad, Pandan, Patnongon, Sebaste, and Tibiao have no active cases.
In total, Antique listed 8,686 total confirmed cases of which 8,323 were recovered and 349 deaths.
Based on the monitoring of the Department of Health in Region 6, the COVID-19 cases of Antique are already declining.
Proof here is the two-week growth rate from February 25, 2022, to March 10, 2022, that they listed 62 cases but from March 11, 2022, to March 24, 2022, they listed only 23 cases or had 39 case differences or negative 63 percent change.
Their average daily attack rate has reached only 0.26 percent while their health care utilization rate is only 4.10 percent.
As a result, Antique’s risk classification is now at minimal risk.
As of now, Antique is subject to Alert Level System 2./PN
