MANILA – Reigning Philippines Football League champions United City Football Club are seen to lose the services of two key players in Manny Ott and Jose Elmer Porteria ahead of their 2021 Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Cup stint.

In separate announcements on social media, the United City FC said Ott will move to a Malaysian football club while Porteria will be playing next in a Thailand club.

The 28-year-old Ott began playing for the senior national team in 2010, and saw action domestically for Ceres-Negros FC from 2014 to 2018. After a stint in Thailand, Ott returned to Ceres before joining United City FC.

The 26-year-old Porteria, on the other hand, has been instrumental in many titles of then Ceres-Negros FC in the domestic league as well as triumphs in the AFC tournaments. He also saw action 22 times for the Azkals.

Playing in the professional league in the Philippines, Porteria was able to score 36 goals for Kaya FC in 55 appearances from 2012–2016 while 32 goals for Ceres-Negros FC and UCFC in 69 appearances./PN
