ILOILO – Outstanding Peer Helper Alumni who graduated with Latin honors in their respective schools this school year were recognized by the provincial government through the Provincial Population Office (PPO).
Gov. Arthur Defensor Jr. and PPO acting head Atty. Ruel Von Superio led the recognition of outstanding peer helpers during the flag-raising ceremony at the provincial capitol on Monday, July 17.
Receiving certificates of recognition and medals were 35 outstanding peer helpers who graduated cum laude, magna cum laude and summa cum laude.
Superio said peer helpers played significant roles during their secondary school years in assisting in the operation of school-based multi-purpose teen centers, especially in conducting peer helping and advocacy activities in their schools.
School-based multi-purpose teen centers house all the major programs and projects of the province for the youth, in line with the MoRProGResIloilo development agenda of the Defensor administration.
The MoRProGResIloilo stands for the Movement for a Robust, Progressive, Globally Competitive and Resilient Province of Iloilo.
