Atty. Dennis L. Ausan, Comelec-6 director, also highlighted the ongoing process of voter deactivation for those who failed to vote in two consecutive elections.

He explained that the deactivation process requires approval from the Election Registration Board (ERB) and affected voters will be notified through a letter.

Voters who have been deactivated can reactivate their registration by visiting the office of election officers in their respective cities or municipalities.

“Just visit the election officer’s office in your city or municipality to apply for reactivation if you wish to be reinstated on the voter’s list for the upcoming elections,” Ausan advised.

The registration drive and subsequent updates aim to ensure that all eligible voters can participate in the forthcoming electoral process./PN
