Over 171T of Antique’s target population still unvaxxed vs COVID-19

ANTIQUE – As of Dec. 27, 171,123 individuals here from the 432,452 target population remained unvaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), data from the Department of Health (DOH) Region 6 showed.

The vaccinated, on the other hand, reached 261,329 (194,919 or 45.07 percent fully and 66,410 or 15.36 percent,first dose).

Gov. Rhodora Cadiao had hoped that 50 percent of the target population would be vaccinated (either one or two doses) before 2021 ends.

She said the provincial government would continue its vaccination campaign, and would also emphasize the importance of booster shots.

As of Dec. 27, Antique had received 637,940 doses of COVID-19 vaccines from the national government. Here’s the breakdown:

* Sinovac – 256,670 doses

* AstraZeneca – 44,220 doses

* Pfizer – 179,970 doses

* Gamaleya – 4,800 doses

* Janssen – 87,000 doses

* Moderna – 65,280 doses/PN
