ILOILO – At least 2,000 jobs await jobseekers in the Job and Migrants Fair of the Iloilo provincial government at Casa Real de Iloilo on Sept. 30.

According to Public Employment Service Office (PESO) head Francisco Heler Jr., easy to fill-in jobs will be mainly offered such as cashiers, salesladies, Human Resource staff, service crew, sales assistants, encoders, sales associates, merchandisers, counter salesmen, sales clerks, delivery drivers, auditors, and collector, among others.

Since jobs both local and abroad will be offered, overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) are welcome to join as well, said Heller.

Seminars on financial literacy and anti-illegal recruitment and anti-trafficking will also be held by PESO-Iloilo.

Heler encourages job seekers to pre-register at the PESO-Iloilo office at the fifth floor of the Iloilo provincial capitol building, or coordinate with their concerned municipal PESO.

Walk-ins will also be accepted at the job fair.

Applicants should bring their resumé, ballpen, and other necessary credentials.

There will be a help desk at the venue to help anyone who needs to inquire from the Philippine Health Insurance Corp., Social Security System, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Foreign Affairs, Professional Regulation Commission, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration, and Philippine Statistics Authority.

Nine local government units will also offer “Libre Sakay” to jobseekers from Passi City and the municipalities of Barotac Viejo, Janiuay, Miag-ao, Pototan, Tigbauan, Oton, Sara, and Santa Barbara.

Also, there will be a trade fair at the Casa Real hallway to be participated by OFW organizations.

Daku ‘ni nga oportunidad,” said Heler./PN
