ROXAS City – More than 400 Upod Kita scholars received educational assistance from the Roxas City Government during the Upod Kita Scholars General Assembly held at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center on April 18.
Each scholar from public schools received P5,000 while scholars enrolled in private schools got P10,000 each for their tuition and book allowances for the second semester of the current school year.
Additionally, senior high school students of St. Vincent Technical Vocational School were given educational assistance.
The city government also recognized the 40 Upod Kita scholars who are graduating from college this school year.
The Upod Kita Scholarship is one of the programs of the administration of Mayor Ronnie Dadivas. It aims to help students achieve their educational and career goals./PN
