CAPIZ – A total of 40,800 vials of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) from the national government were delivered to this province on Nov. 2.
These were made up of three brands – Pfizer (5,850 vials), Sputnik V Vaccine/Gamaleya (5,000 ampoules) and Sinovac (30,000 vials).
The new vaccines deliveries could be inoculated to around 85,100 Capiznons.
The provincial government plans to distribute the vaccines to various towns and Roxas City.
As of Nov. 2, 197,223 Capiznons were vaccinated or 34.70 percent of the 568,364 target population.
Of the figure, 24.78 percent or 140,818 were deemed fully vaccinated (two doses) while 9.92 percent or 56,405 received their first dose and were waiting for their second dose to be considered fully vaccinated, too.
Around 65.30 percent of the target population in Capiz are not yet vaccinated./PN
