ANTIQUE – A total of 50,336 Antiqueños were deemed fully vaccinated against coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) as of July 31.
They were a mix of healthcare workers, senior citizens and persons with co-morbidities, data from the Antique Provincial Health Office (APHO) showed.
The target population for vaccination, however, is 380,271. The current number of fully vaccinated Antiqueños accounts for just 13 percent of this.
Here’s the breakdown of the fully vaccinated Antiqueños by municipality: Anini-y (1,946), Barbaza (1,989), Belison (694), Bugasong (1,420), Caluya (3,140), Culasi (3,585), Hamtic (2,111), Laua-an (1,506), Libertad (1,739), Pandan (9,217), Patnongon (1,527), San Jose (9,040), San Remegio (1,336), Sebaste (2,834), Sibalom (2,646), Tibiao (1,038), Tobias Fornier (3,002), and Valderrama (1,566).
The vaccines administered were the two-dose Sinovac, Gamaleya and AstraZeneca and the single-shot Janssen.
The APHO reminded Antiqueños to continue observing the health protocols – wearing of facemask and face shield, observing physical distancing, proper washing of hands — while waiting for their time to be vaccinated.
“Kun wara lang man ti importante nga baraklon ukon transaksyon, magtinir lang anay sa sulod kang balay,” added the APHO in a statement.
As of Aug. 4, Antique had 728 active COVID-19 cases and 161 deaths.
