Over 7,600 job opportunities at Iloilo Mega Job Fair

ILOILO – The Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of Iloilo is calling on job seekers to join the Mega Job Fair at Robinsons Place Jaro Activity Center on Friday, July 19.

A total of 7,690 job positions will be made available, including 2,042 overseas and 5,648 local opportunities, according to  PESO-Iloilo Manager Francisco Heler Jr.

Local jobs feature positions such as accounting and administrative staff, cashiers, service crews, warehouse associates, promodisers, management trainees, encoders, delivery personnel, and officer candidates.

For international applicants, positions are open in various countries including New Zealand, Singapore, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Papua New Guinea, Japan, Bahrain, and Norway, offering roles ranging from nurses and general cleaners to technical experts and amusement park specialists.

Additionally, specific opportunities are also available for persons with disabilities (PWDs), offering roles in technical support, sales, food handling, and customer service.

Job openings for high school and senior high school graduates include positions in logistics, sales, accounting, clerical work, pharmacy assistance, and call center operations.

A total of 98 companies will participate in the fair, with 80 local firms, 10 BPOs, six overseas recruiters, one from the Philippine Army, and one from the Iloilo Provincial Government’s Human Resource Management and Development Office.

Various government agencies will also be present to offer help desks and inquiry services, including Pag-Ibig, the Social Security System, the Bureau of Internal Revenue, the Department of Migrant Workers, and others.

Complimentary transportation will be provided by eight local government units: Tigabaun, Sara, Janiuay, Santa Barbara, Igbaras, Guimbal, Zarraga, and Balasan.

Heler encourages interested job seekers to register either via walk-in or online.

Online registrations can be completed through the PESO Facebook Page, while walk-ins can register on the 5th floor of the Iloilo Provincial Capitol or at local Municipal PESO offices.

To date, 62 applicants have registered in person, and 1,086 online.

Heler advises attendees to bring multiple copies of their resumes and to arrive early to maximize their employment opportunities during the event./PN
