BACOLOD City – Three drug suspects, including a minor, were arrested in a drug buy-bust operation in Purok 1, Barangay Nayon, San Enrique, Negros Occidental.

Operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU-6) on Friday, August 23, seized around 205 grams of suspected shabu approximately valued at P1,394,000 from aliases “Tol,” 42, a resident of Barangay Atipuluan, Bago City; and “Nene,” 22, and a 16-year-old girl, both residents of Valladolid town.

Also recovered were P12,000 in buy-bust money, P1,100 in cash, a digital weighing scale, an improvised tooter, and other non-drug-related items.

Police classified Tol and Nene as high-value targets.

According to Captain Ryan Christ Inot, team leader of the RPDEU-6, Tol had been under surveillance for over a month following reports of unfamiliar groups who frequently visited his rented house in Purok 1.

Inot said that Tol was previously arrested for illegal drugs charges in 2015 and was released from jail just this year.

He added that the suspect was recently subjected to a buy-bust operation in Bago City but evaded arrest, causing him to move to San Enrique.

Police turned over the minor to the Department of Social Welfare and Development.

Tol and Nene were detained at the San Enrique Municipal Police Station, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
