BACOLOD City – In a series of coordinated operations on Thursday, April 3, the Bacolod City Police Office seized illegal drugs valued at around P1,176,400 and arrested five suspects.
Officers of the Police Station 2 first apprehended aliases “Joshua,” 27, a resident of Barangay 2, and “Jobel,” 33, from Barangay Singcang-Airport, in Purok Sigay, Barangay 2. They yielded 160 grams of suspected shabu valued at P1,088,000 and a caliber .45 pistol.
In a separate operation in Zone 5, Abada Escay, Barangay Vista Alegre, two more suspects were arrested by the Police Station 5 cops. Aliases “Toto,” 42, and “Mark,” 27, were caught with seven grams of suspected shabu worth P47,600.
Police Station 4 also executed a drug sting in Purok Cubay, Barangay Villamonte where alias “Nono,” 44, was collared. Recovered were six grams of suspected shabu valued at around 40,800.
All suspects were detained, facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
