Over P2M worth of shabu seized in Bacolod

BACOLOD City – Around 420 grams of suspected shabu valued at approximately P2.8 million were confiscated from two drug suspects in Barangay Tangub here.

Live-in partners “Richard,” 42, and “Perper,” 32, temporarily residing at the aforementioned barangay, were arrested around 4:50 p.m.

Joint operatives of the Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit (RPDEU), Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) Police Station 8 and Philippine Drugs Enforcement Agency 6’s Special Enforcement Team Bravo carried out the operation.

They also recovered P13,000 buy-bust money, improvised tooter, mobile phone, coin purse, and sling bag.

Police Captain Ryan Inot, team leader of RPDEU 6, said Richard was the subject of the operation.

Authorities added that Richard was previously arrested for illegal drugs case. He was released from the New Bilibid Prison in December 2023.

The suspects were detained at the Police Station 8.

They are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002./PN
