ILOILO – A delivery truck loaded with fertilizers and corn seeds fell into the river in Barangay Bagacay, San Dionisio town around 5 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 14.
The driver, Junjun Morenes, was taken to the hospital. He sustained head injuries.
Another passenger of the truck identified only as Gian was also injured on his left leg.
According to the truck’s another passenger, Nathaniel Lusong, the driver lost control and the vehicle slipped.
A witness said five people were on board the truck, including the driver; two people were in the front seat, and the other two were at the back.
A total of 139 sacks of fertilizers, insecticides and corn seeds were loaded in the said truck.
The San Dionisio police station is still investigating the incident as of this writing./PN
