BACOLOD City – Suspected shabu estimated to be worth some P1,020,000 was recovered in a sting operation at Charito Heights Subdivision in Barangay Granada, a police report showed.
The suspected illegal drugs were confiscated from the 31-year-old resident Myla Velano, the report stated.
Velano was caught after she sold suspected shabu to an undercover officer for P2,000 around 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
Recovered from Velano’s possession were 17 more sachets of suspected shabu weighing 85 grams, police said.
Her cellphone, a weighing scale and cash believed to be proceeds from Velano’s alleged illegal drug transactions were also confiscated.
Elements of the Bacolod City Police Office’s Drug Enforcement Unit staged the buy-bust operation.
According to the police, Velano had been under surveillance for a long time.
Velano was detained at the Police Station 5 lockup facility and facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (With Ian Paul Cordero/PN)
